Czech Society for Non-Destructive Testing - CNDT - is a non-profit society, the aim of which is to promote the development and application of nondestructive testing (NDT) in the Czech Republic.
The aim is the NDT promotion of

  • technology
  • application
  • training
  • information
  • communication
  • meeting & conference organisation
  • international co-operation

The history of the Czech NDT is dated since the beginning of thirties, what time the Czech industry began to supply its own produced equipment to the Czechoslovak NDT service (INKAR products).

The structure of CNDT complies with that of the developed Czech industry and with its tradition to achieve the highest quality and reliability of the metallurgical and engineering products

Nowadays the Czech NDT is involved in all mostly used methods:

  • MT - magnetic-particle
  • RT - radiation
  • UT - ultrasonic
  • ET - eddy current
  • AE - acoustic emission
  • LT - leak testing

The Czechoslovak Society for NDT was created in the year 1955, organised its first International Conference in the year 1956 with efficient support of the Czechoslovak Academy of Science. Since 1960 national NDT conference was organised every two or three years. Since 1971 a annual national conference with international participation is taking place.
