Prague, a city with more than 1000 years of history and culture, was established and developed at
the intersection of strategic routes connecting key centers on the European continent. Its leading position
and favorable climate led to the successful development of trade, arts and crafts, scientific research and
knowledge. The town is one of the most important historical cities of Europe. The past centuries have
left their mark here primarily in art and architecture. Through the course of time Prague has gained a
reputation as a major European center of culture, education and humanism. An area of more than 8 sq. km
registered in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage Register. The EU named Prague as the "European City of Culture 2000".
The accommodation of participants will be assured in comfort hotel Floret*** (with swimming
pool and relax center) which is a part of the Congress Center. We recommend to stay a few days
before or after the workshop in Prague. The hotel reservation could be done for the dates 7 to 14
October 2005. A special sight-seeing programs for interested participants and accompanying persons will be organized in Prague and environs.
For participants interested in Prague center accommodation, the rooms should be reserved also (see Registration Form).
Regarding to the fact that Prague is a very frequented tourist centre and the capacity of hotels is limited, all
participants are asked to send their accommodation requests as soon as possible. All rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first served basis.
