Basic Instructions for Preparing of Manuscripts



  • Papers should be written in English
  • Contribution must be prepared in electronic-form document of A4 size (297 x 210 mm), and sent by e-mail to: cndt@cndt.cz, and/or on diskette, ZIP, CD etc. (please use .doc, .rtf or .pdf - unprotected files)
  • Page margins: 1st page - top 50 mm, bottom 30 mm, left and right 25 mm, other pages - top and bottom 30 mm, left and right 25 mm
  • Text length of invited papers (optimal 8-10 pages), posters and students should not exceed 8 pages
  • Text should be typed in single line spacing using Times New Roman or Arial fonts (12-pitch)
  • 1st page must contain: The title of article in CAPITALS (14 points, bold, centered) - not underlined (50 mm from the bottom!), names of the authors, company name and country (12 points). Name of the speaker should be underlined. A short abstract should be provided and three to five keywords indicating the main topics discussed in the paper should be included.
  • Headings should be typed in CAPITALS, not underlined, and justified to the left vertical line
  • Illustrations, line thickness, lettering symbols and equations have to be of adequate size to be viewed clearly (colored lines and photographs cannot be properly reproduced). Captions shall be attached under the figures.
  • References should be indicated in the text by number in brackets and listed at the end of the paper
  • Deadline for sending your manuscript is August 15, 2005.
  • Contact address with phone number and email should be sent in a separate file. This information will be enclosed as a separate part to the Proceedings.
  • It is recommended to send the paper manuscript also in a printed form
  • Authors are responsible for the copyright allowances for the articles submitted for publication in the Proceedings.

Publication:
All abstracts received in electronic form (before June 15, 2005) will be published in NDT Welding Bulletin 2005/No. 2.
Full versions of all accepted papers will be published in the Workshop Proceedings. Conference CD with all Workshop materials (papers, presentations, results of discussions, video files and photos) will be distributed after the Workshop. Selected papers will also appear in other NDT journals.
