Prague, a city with over a thousand-year history, was established and developed at the intersection of strategic routes connecting key centers on the European continent. Its leading position and favorable climate led to the successful development of trade, arts and crafts, scientific research and knowledge. The town is one of the most important historical cities of Europe. The past centuries have left their mark here primarily in art and architecture. Through the course of time Prague has gained a reputation as a major European center of culture, education and humanism. An area of more than 8 sq. km registered in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage Register. Prague is also a modern European metropolis full of energy, music, and art. It’s a city of contrasts: Serene green isles in the river and peaceful parks draping the city’s seven hills are just steps away from the architectural treasures and bustling street life of the city center. It’s a place where different architectural styles stand cheek by jowl, creating an atmosphere that’s both intimate and romantic, and quite impossible to forget once seen.

Conference venue – The Congress Center Floret is situated in close neighborhood of the Pruhonice Castle, just a few minutes away from the highway D1, approximately 15 km from the Prague center. The place is easy accessible by Prague public transport. The Congress Center with its unique surrounding gardens provides excellent possibility for conferences and meetings, and also for recreation. The accommodation of participants will be assured in comfort hotel Floret*** (with swimming pool and relax center) which is a part of the Congress Center. We recommend to stay a few days before or after the workshop in Prague. The hotel reservation could be done for the dates 10 to 17 October 2009. The sight-seeing programs for interested participants and accompanying persons will be organized in Prague and environs. For participants interested in Prague center accommodation, the rooms should be reserved also (see Registration Form).

Regarding to the fact that Prague is a very frequented tourist centre and the capacity of hotels is limited, all participants are asked to send their accommodation requests as soon as possible. All rooms will be allocated on a firstcome, first served basis.
